Custom Railings

We fabricate and install custom welded steel and cable railings, finished with a durable powder coating in the color of your choice.

Most railing projects start with a site visit. This lets us take accurate measurements and information, so we can give you a proper, accurate quote.

We always appreciate any inspiration photos, sketches, or details you can share ahead of time. This helps us understand your vision from the start. But if you're not sure exactly what you want yet, that's completely fine too. Just let us know, and we're happy to work through it with you and come up with the right solution.

A few terms that help when planning your project:

  • Guardrail — Required on decks that are 30" or higher off the ground. Its job is simple: keep people from falling off the edge.

  • Handrail — The railing you actually grab, usually along stairs. Because it's meant to be held, code is stricter here on height and tubing size to make sure it's easy and safe to grip.

  • Baluster / Infill — The pieces that fill the space within the railing frame, typically vertical or horizontal.

  • Mounting — How the railing physically attaches to your structure. Knowing this early in the project matters a lot, as it affects what's possible, how the installation goes, and the final securement of the railing.

Custom Steel Fabrication

Fabricating structural shapes are our specialty, not just tubing, but angle, bar, channel, and pipe. Much of our custom work incorporates steel plate as well.

Past custom, one-off projects have included generator covers, planter boxes, custom frames, fences and gates, and tables and furniture.

Finish options: patina, clear coat, paint, and powder coating.

For custom fabrication projects, the process typically starts with your drawings or ideas, which we'll work through together to land on the most practical design that fits your vision while minimizing material waste. Because of the custom nature of these projects, please allow a couple of days for us to get updated supplier pricing, source any custom hardware, and put together an accurate quote.

For custom projects, we provide 3D renderings as part of the approval process so you can see the finished product, share feedback, and confirm the details are right before fabrication begins. No surprises at the end.
